All safety spectacles are produced according the Regulation (EU)  2016/425

 

Models:  020,  021,  022,  023, 024,  026,  029,  033 036, HMR2000,  HCR 2000 meet the standard EN 166:2001    protect against impacts according to classifications  EN 166 S and EN 166F : EN 169 : EN 172

Models 005,  007,  009  meet the standard EN 166:2001    classification EN 166 F

The safety goggles are for general use,  like machining ( turning, milling etc.) , grinding,  precision mechanical labour, demolition ( breaking, chopping etc.),  chemical industry and laboratory (non-hazardous chemicals),  maintenance ,  DIY  works (domestic/around the house labour)

Risk assessment/ warnings

 

This concerns the following Proteye models  020,  021, 022, 023, 024 026, 027, 029, 033, 036, HMR2000, HCR2000 and models  005, 007, 009

 

The safety spectacles protect the eyes against impact of particles which could hurt or damage the eye.

The spectacles are produced according the classifications EN 166 S for increased robustness  and EN 166 F  for low energy impact resistance.

The spectacles should be worn at all times during work.

The safety spectacles should not be worn when higher energy impacts are involved (see marking lenses),  fine dust, hazardous chemicals, harmful radiations and harmful light e.g. laser beams.  In this case, specific eye-protection is recommended.

Replacement of the lenses/spectacles is recommended every two years because of scratches of wear due to use .  Or replace immediately when severely damaged.

Incorrect use or misuse of  Proteye safety products  can cause severe eye-injury.


Cleaning and Disinfection

Cleaning

keep the spectacles well clean; rinse your spectacles with water and use only non-aggressive, common hand soap* or water if any.  Proteye recommends liquid hand soap TORK or similar products. Than dry with soft, non-linting cloth to clean the spectacles;

if cleaning does not clear the lenses: replace the lenses/spectacles immediately;

 

The TORK liquid hand soap (article 42051) is dermatologically tested and proven soft for the skin.

The TORK liquid hand soap (article 42051) is harmless for  Proteye frames, -frame-parts and - lenses.

Disinfection

disinfect the spectacles with a low level on alcohol based disinfectant (PT01).  Proteye recommends  the Tork liquid alcohol based hand disinfectant or similar products.

don’t use strong chlorous or acidic materials, this might cause damage to the product.

The TORK liquid alcohol based hand disinfectant (article 511110) is highly effective against problem organisms. It  meets the EN 1500 EN 12791 and EN 14476. Prevent contact with your eyes.  In case of eye contact,  rinse the eye for at least 10 minutes with water and contact your physician.

The Tork liquid alcohol based hand disinfectant ( article 51110) is harmless for Proteye -frames,

-frameparts and – lenses.
